Health coaching effectively motivates and supports health behavior change through a structured partnership between client and coach. I ask powerful questions to help motivate them to make health behavior changes based on their values. I help clients set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound) goals, identify obstacles to change, and create strategies for moving forward toward their goals. I provide support by tracking weekly progress and holding them accountable to their commitments. In addition, I provide resources for making healthy behavior change specific to what each client needs.
